1. Who this policy is for
This policy applies to the ByeByeWatermark website and browser-based watermark removal workflow. It applies when you browse the site, upload a file, download a result, or contact the operator.
The operator should replace the development contact address on this page with a monitored business address and publish the operator’s legal name and location before public launch.
2. Information the service handles
- Uploaded media: the image or short video you choose to process, including its filename, format, size, and technical properties.
- Generated files: the cleaned image or video and the information needed to make it available for download.
- Request and security data: timestamps, processing status, error details, IP address, user-agent, and similar data needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and investigate failures.
- Messages you send: your email address and message if you contact the operator.
The service does not require an account for the public workflow. Do not upload highly sensitive personal information unless you have reviewed the deployed storage and access controls.
3. Why the service uses this information
Files are used to detect visible marks, produce a processing result, show a before-and-after review, and provide a download. Technical data is used to keep the service secure, measure reliability, troubleshoot errors, and enforce reasonable usage limits.
The operator must choose and document the legal bases that apply in the countries where the service is offered. Depending on the situation, those bases may include providing a service you request, legitimate interests in security and reliability, consent for optional analytics, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Storage and deletion
The current project is configured for a short storage window: uploaded files and generated results are intended to expire after two hours. The deployed operator must keep this setting accurate and verify that expired originals, results, temporary files, and backups are actually deleted.
Security and operational logs may be retained for a different period when reasonably needed to protect the service, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law. The operator should document that period before launch.
If you need a file removed sooner, email privacy@byebyewatermark.app with the filename and enough information to locate the request. Do not include the media itself unless necessary.
5. Who may receive information
The operator may use hosting, storage, processing, security, and monitoring providers to run the service. Those providers should receive only what is needed for their role and should be covered by appropriate contracts and security controls.
ByeByeWatermark should not sell uploaded media or publish it as an example. The operator must update this policy if the deployment adds analytics, advertising, external AI APIs, human review, or another provider that receives uploaded content.
6. International processing and security
Hosting or service providers may process information in countries different from yours. The operator must identify those transfers and provide any safeguards required by applicable law.
The project is designed to use private file access, short retention, protected downloads, and controlled processing. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid uploading material that you cannot safely place with the deployed operator.
7. Your privacy choices and deletion requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of processing, and to object or withdraw consent where those rights apply. To make a request, contact privacy@byebyewatermark.app.
Because the current service does not create user accounts, there is no account to delete. You can request deletion of an uploaded file or generated result using the contact address above; automatic expiration is also intended to remove files after the stated storage window.
The operator may need to verify a request and may keep a limited record of it. You can also contact your local data-protection authority if you believe your request was not handled properly.
8. Children and third-party content
The service is not directed to children. Only upload content you own or are authorized to edit. Processing a watermark does not transfer copyright, licensing rights, or ownership to you or to ByeByeWatermark.
9. Policy changes
The operator may update this policy when the service, providers, retention settings, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page will change with a material revision. If a change is important, the operator should provide a more direct notice when required by law.
